I was tired of the constant struggle of fighting financial stress on top of everything else life threw at me. As soon as I got my paychecks, the money was gone because something always seemed past due. I couldn't catch up. My joy in life was almost nonexistent and I couldn't afford to do anything but work. I was overwhelmed with the world's expectations to pay bills, save, and put money towards my future. How was I supposed to do that if I couldn't afford groceries some days? Something needed to change, and I was determined to dig myself out of the hole I found myself in.

I know what it's like to live paycheck to paycheck. I know the struggles of having to start over, the stress of collection calls, and having to depend on credit cards - until there was no credit left. Situations like the ones I faced can cause a lot of stress and can make you feel defeated and that there's no way forward.
